Welcome to the blog commemorating KO's trip to Greece, 2009!
As promised, I've set this blog up to help our weary group of travellers share photos, memories, information and stories about our outstanding trip to Greece. Here, you can show off your best photos and keep your memories of that trip fresh. I've granted everyone permission to post to this blog; but don't feel obligated! If it suits you better, feel free to just browse here every so often and see if there are any updates. But since posting is so easy, I'd encourage people to chime in as often as the mood strikes them. Even if it's something simple like telling Chris that his photo of John the Turkish carpet pusher fails to properly highlight the sweat on his nose. Don't be shy! We're all friends by now, right?
Sharing photos is also relatively easy. That being said, the space available for photos is not unlimited. We have some leeway, but since photos can be large files we may eventually run out of room. That's why, I'd recommend
flickr. Flickr is one of them fancy new-fandangled web sites that, despite its intentionally and irritatingly mispelled name, is superior for managing your digital photos and allowing you to share them with the world (or to a limited subset of the world). You can even post them to this very blog straight from Flickr! It's pretty fancy stuff; slick even. And the best benefit is that you can upload as many photos as your heart desires - and share them with your family and friends.
Now, it's easy for me to
say that this is all very easy to do and another thing for it to actually
be easy. Truth be told, I haven't spent a great deal blogging myself and I'm a web developer! If you're new and hesitant about all of this "blogging" stuff, start simple. Give us a quick reply to this post (click the link at the bottom of this post that says 0 comments) and see how it goes. Then venture into creating a post of your own (there's a 'New Post' link at the top of the page), maybe upload a photo. Venture over to
my flickr page and see what else I've got there; determine if it's something you'd like to try.
Here are some excellent tutorials if you're having heartburn about all this crazy technology:

Hopefully everyone finds this thing worth it and fun!
